My friend and I went out at 1:30 AM to go see her boyfriend, during his lunch break.

We had a great time, got some Taco Bell food and even got to see where he worked exactly. :3 Fun, fun times~ Yes, just awesometastic!

However, on the way home from Houston, on Highway 225, Konekochama was spacing out, staring at the dark scenery outside her window, and I was doing my driving thing. XD I don't even know exactly what happened. At some point, I was looking at some headlights which had appeared around the slight curve on the Highway. Nothing unusual, just normal highway curves and normal headlights.

Unfortunately, I realized (a little dazed) that the headlights I was seeing were not on the other side of the barrier. They were on my side of the street, in my lane....barreling down on us. O_O

I honestly don't really know how I did it, but at some point my brain clicked that the opposing headlights were in my lane, and I quickly checked my mirrors and did a very sharp swerve, narrowly avoiding what would have been a terrible head-on collision.

Poor Konekochama felt the car start swerving and glanced at my side just in time to see the white van passing us. It was such a near miss, and I just know Fhloston is going to freak. @__@

Yeah. So, anyone got any idea how someone is able to get on a highway going the wrong direction to begin with? Because it certainly doesn't make any sense to me. I hope anyone behind us managed to avoid a collision as well.

Right now I'm feeling pretty giddy about the whole thing. It's just the adrenaline gushing, so I don't think it's weird for me to laugh. I suppose it's only funny because we walked away.
